There is a window you can gaze through to see your dreams and nightmares. Are they waiting to become reality or simply images of fears and desires?
Window of Dreams James Pack 9781482076639 Books
Mr. Pack shows some promise in this collection; his struggles with social anxiety and relationships are poignant and relatable, though the language and poetic tools are often simplistic (there are FAR too many rhyming poems.)The real unfortunate aspect of this book is the oddly persistent cycle of fantasy poems called "The Tales of Enderas." These are meant to be soaring and ethereal, I presume, but they all deal with abstract fantasy claptrap like pixies and dragons and never dive into any real poetic meat.
I would like to see more work from the author, but hope that in the future he puts more effort into balancing well-crafted poems addressing grounded, human issues.
